The project will undertake observations and recording of insects via collecting, in particular Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera, and Diptera at Doñana biological Reserve, in attempting to test and further develop methods for rapid digital data capture in the field. Recording methods will include light traps, bait traps, coloured pan traps, and hand netting. All data will be digitally catalogued and made available to Doñana Biological Station, EU BON, and GBIF. Specimens will be deposited in public museums and referenced in the database. Data will be used for testing integration of various data levels within the EU BON project

We will use the Andalusian red list of invertebrate and notify the observation of legally protected species included in the “Vulnerable” or “Endangered” categories (which is highly unlikely but the lack of data on many invertebrate groups require taking precautions), as well as those included in the red list, but not legally protected, to the National Park Director.
